UntamedEgo started in 2017 at a kitchen table, with no funding, no team, and no plan beyond one simple belief: bold self expression should not come with an apology attached.
Who We Are
UntamedEgo is a woman owned lifestyle brand based in California, founded by Evelyn, built by people who genuinely love making things that make other people laugh, feel seen, or feel a little more unapologetically themselves. We are not a faceless corporation. We are a small, hands on team who design, source, pack, and ship every single order that goes out our door.
What We Make
We create bold, funny, and honest apparel and lifestyle goods, tees, stickers, mugs, candles, greeting cards, and keychains, for people who are done pretending to be anyone other than exactly who they are. Every product starts with an idea we believe in, and every design that carries the UntamedEgo name is either created in house or produced through paid work with professional artists we hire and hold full rights to. Some of our designs carry messages that can be uncomfortable, on purpose, because they say things we believe society needs to hear.
Original Work, Properly Protected
When UntamedEgo's designs went viral, they were quickly copied and resold across Etsy and Amazon, at a scale that put real strain on a small, self-funded business. Protecting original work through copyright enforcement became necessary to keep the business alive. We understand that enforcing those rights hasn't always been popular, but for a small brand competing against mass copying, it was not optional. Our designs are copyrighted, and when we identify unauthorized use of our registered work, we address it directly with the platform or seller involved, through the proper legal channels.
How Far It's Come
What started as one person with an idea is now a brand carried in over 200 boutiques nationwide, alongside our own online store. More than 300,000 orders later, the mission has not changed. We make things for the people who have been told they are "too much," and we make them well.
The Values Behind It
Being woman owned and independently run is not a marketing line for us, it is how the business actually operates. Every order placed goes directly back into the business: into paying our artists fairly, into better materials, into more bold ideas getting made. We believe in giving credit where it is due and protecting the work we create.
