Fits chest is your own measurement, taken around the fullest part with a tape. Everything after it is the sweatshirt laid flat, in inches.
Chest width is armpit to armpit. Body length is shoulder to hem. Sleeve runs from the center back neck to the cuff, which is why that number looks long.
Easiest check: lay a sweatshirt you already love flat, measure armpit to armpit, and match it to the chest width column. Pre-shrunk, so the fit stays where it starts.
