All measurements are in inches, taken with the shirt laid flat. Body length runs from the high point of the shoulder to the hem. Chest width is measured one inch below the armhole.
Size variance of 1 to 2 inches is normal. Easiest way to get it right: lay a shirt you already love flat and measure across the chest from armpit to armpit, then match that number to the chest width above.
